Elise Ringenberg, PLPC, BC-DMT
Hi there! My name is Elise (she/her/hers), and I am a board-certified dance/movement therapist and provisionally licensed professional counselor. I hold a Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago. In addition to practicing at Emovere, I currently work at St. Louis Children’s Hospital as a dance/movement therapist, where I work with patients on the inpatient medical units.
In my practice, I integrate verbal therapy with dance/movement therapy, mindfulness, play, and expressive arts. By tapping into these intuitive approaches of expression and authentic movement, I seek to help clients find greater self-understanding and growth.
I previously worked in a residential eating disorder facility as a primary therapist and movement liaison where I coordinated therapeutic movement programming. In addition to my therapeutic work, I have led workshops on trauma-informed dance education.
My overarching passion is to bring the body into the conversation, specifically into relationship with the mind and one’s experience. I would be honored to help you start that compassionate conversation with yourself. Please reach out today for your consultation; I look forward to hearing from you.
