Hi there! My name is Elise (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed professional counselor, board-certified dance/movement therapist, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner in training. I hold a Masters degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago.
I previously worked in a residential eating disorder facility as a primary therapist and coordinator of therapeutic movement programming. I have experience working in psychiatric hospitals and adult day program settings. About my therapy approach
In my practice, I integrate verbal therapy with dance/movement therapy, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, authentic movement, play, and expressive arts. By tapping into these intuitive approaches of expression, I seek to help clients find greater self-understanding and growth.
My overarching passion is to bring the body into the conversation, specifically into a relationship with the mind and one’s experience. I would be honored to help you start that compassionate conversation with yourself. Please reach out to me today for your free consultation– I look forward to hearing from you!
